The Start of Something New.
If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d be running my own photography business — capturing families, newborns, and couples in soft light and quiet moments — I’m not sure I would’ve believed you.
But the truth is, this path started unfolding the very moment I became a mother.
When my daughter Daisy was born, like so many new parents, I wanted to freeze time. The days felt long and short all at once, and I knew I’d never want to forget those tiny details — her wrinkled toes, the way her head fit perfectly in the crook of my neck, the sleepy sighs that filled our home.
That’s when I met the woman who would unknowingly change my life — the photographer who captured our first real family photos. Her presence was calm and kind, and her ability to make magic out of everyday light and connection moved me deeply. Later, she photographed our wedding, and once again, I was blown away by the way she captured emotion without needing to stage or pose a thing. She saw us as we were — and it was beautiful.
That experience planted a seed.
I didn’t rush into photography. It started slowly — quietly — as I began to learn and experiment, often with my own children as muses. I found myself drawn to natural light, soft tones, and the unscripted in-between moments that often go unnoticed: a tiny hand clutching yours, a sideways glance, the comfort of being held. I began photographing friends, then friends of friends. And somewhere along the way, it clicked — this wasn’t just a creative outlet. This was what I was meant to do.
Now, as a lifestyle photographer based in the countryside, I get to spend my days documenting real love and real life. I specialize in newborn, family, and couple sessions that feel relaxed and rooted in connection — where you don’t need to perform or pose, you just need to be present.
Every time I pick up my camera, I think of Daisy. I think of that first photo session that made me feel seen as a new mother. And I think about the families I now get to photograph — knowing that the images we create together might become part of the way they remember this season of their lives.
This work is more than photography. It’s storytelling. It’s legacy. It’s love.
Thank you for being here and for trusting me with your moments. I can’t wait to see where this story goes next.
With heart,
Abbie x
